CSIR-NEIST Jorhat Transfers Advanced Technologies To Industry Partners On January 17, 2025

On January 17, 2025, the CSIR Innovation Complex in Mumbai was inaugurated by Jitendra Singh, Minister of Science and Technology, in a virtual ceremony. This pioneering platform aims to promote scientific research, innovation, and foster collaboration between academia and industry for the nation's growth. The event was attended by key dignitaries, including VK Saraswat and VK Paul of NITI Aayog, and N Kalaiselvi, Secretary of DSIR and Director-General of CSIR.

During the inauguration, CSIR-North East Institute of Science and Technology (CSIR-NEIST) transferred three breakthrough technologies to industry partners. These included a graphene synthesis process to IGEIC, Trivandrum, and agrotechnologies for sustainable farming practices to Oirabot Greens and Modinagar Tea Estate.

This initiative underscores CSIR’s commitment to translating research into real-world applications, driving innovation, and supporting sustainable development.
